Pierce College는 1967년에 설립되어 50년이 넘는 전통을 가진 워싱턴주의 2년제 주립대학입니다. 시애틀 다운타운으로부터 남쪽으로 약 60Km에 있는 Lakewood에 위치한 Fort Steilacoom 캠퍼스와 Puyallup 캠퍼스 등 2개의 캠퍼스를 운영하고 있습니다. Fort Steilacoom 캠퍼스에는 약 6,200명의 학생이 재학 중이고, Puyallup 캠퍼스에는 약 6,500명의 학생이 재학 중입니다. 이외에도 eLearning 과정과 Continuing Education 과정에 각각 4,800명과 2,000명의 학생이 공부를 하고 있습니다. Pierce College는 2개의 Bachelor Degree Program을 비롯하여, 28개의 Associate Degree Program 및 44개의 Professional Certificate 과정을 제공하고 있습니다. Pierce College의 University Transfer 과정은 Associate of Arts, Associate in Business 및 Associate of Science 등의 분야가 있습니다.

세부 전공으로는 Art, Astronomy, Biology, Business, Chemistry, Communication Studies, Economics, Education, Engineering, Health Science, History, Journalism, Music, Oceanography, Physics, Political Science 등이 있으며, Professional Certificate 과정으로는 Business Information Technology, Office Management, Computer Network Engineering, Construction Management, Digital Design 등이 있습니다. Pierce College의 재학생들은 2년 동안 University Transfer 과정을 이수한 뒤에 미국 내 4년제 대학으로의 편입이 가능합니다

또한, 일부 4년제 대학과는 Transfer Guarantee 협정이 체결되어 있어서 일정 조건을 충족하는 경우에는 별도의 입학지원 과정 없이 3학년으로 바로 편입을 할 수 있습니다.
